what the heck is it?
Do certain things in your life always seem to happen in a certain way?
I want to share a clever little trick with you.
Certain phrases that we think to ourselves (or sometimes even say out loud) are DEAD GIVEAWAYS that we’re ready to change a part of our lives.
See, most people think that the words they use describe the way the real world is. But what our words are actually doing is revealing our beliefs that world is a certain way.
It’s a subtle difference, but one that’s very important. Our words may even reveal that we don’t think things will EVER change.
Here are just some of these phrases:
That’s just how it is.
All (men) or (women) are that way.
I won’t get my hopes up. This kind of stuff never seems to work out for me.
I’d like to do X, but it’s a long way from happening.
I can never ___.
When I work with life coaching clients, I help them to identify some of these phrases (and their sneaky derivatives) to help them notice beliefs that keep them from their desires and potential.
I support my coaching clients in first recognizing what those beliefs are and how they’re affecting them. Soon, they find themselves opening up to possibilities that lead to greater results in their finances, health, and relationships.
